Hi! My name is Ben Rickard. I’m a Boulder native - Boulder Community Hospital class of ’69, BHS class of ’87 - and have spent my life building and fixing things. Over the years, I have worked in landscaping as well as construction on all manner of projects. I also owned and operated The Dog Spot and The Cat Pad for 18 years, building both facilities. In addition to this, I maintained the operating condition doing all manner of repairs including installing electrical and plumbing fixtures, building storage spaces and troubleshooting unexpected issues efficiently. I have built various buildings, both interior and exterior, including working with the crew that rebuilt our house after the floods of 2013. I pride myself on being reliable, trustworthy, as well as budget and people friendly! Big projects or small, need a hand? I’m your man!
I pride myself on being honest with my clients and I know what I can’t do. If a job is too big, or beyond my capabilities, I’ll tell you and point you in the right direction. I’ve been to too many jobs where I was hired to fix things the previous handyman did incorrectly. My job is to help solve your problems, not create new ones! I understand the importance of honesty, integrity and the role they play in establishing long term relationships. I hope to be the person you call any time a project or problem comes up in your home!
